The next step after this is to plan in advance what is the length you are looking for and thereafter just put the bottomrail in the end of the ladder. Then just reduce the string ladder which is seen hanging below the bottomrail. While doing so you should keep in mind that there must be sufficient ladder available in order to have the option to put more strings if required later. After the completion of these steps the next work to do is to get the lift cord pass through the hole of the bottomrail and then just put a strong knot over there so as to keep it at hold. Here also it is important to consider that there is no bend in the bottomrail and it is hanging in the right straight position as required.

Now just make the length as per your choice by either making the lift cord go up or down. If you are not satisfied with the length no need to worry at all as there are other options available as well like you can add more of the ladders there. After this the last step is to get the bottomrail plugs replaced from their position and then small work with your hammer and you are done with your work.
